The data center is a resource for you to access information about the Columbia River estuary, near plume, and coastal margins of Oregon and Washington. The data is freely available to the scientific community for the purposes of research.

Virtual Columbia River
A skill-assessed 4D (space-time) simulation environment that offers multiple representations of circulation processes, variability and change across river-to-shelf scales. Circulation includes water levels, salinity, temperature, and velocities.

The Center for Coastal Margin Observation & Prediction (CMOP) is a National Science Foundation Science and Technology Center. CMOP is creating a new paradigm for conducting coastal-margin science. It is anticipatory rather than reactive, and is based on the emerging power of structured integrations of information, methods and people. We call these integrations “collaboratories.” The center represents a large multi-institutional partnership.
