Field Team

Research associate Katie Rathmell works on one of the SATURN Observation Network field stations. Rathmell is a member of the field team in Astoria, Oregon. She is seen in the photo uploading data to a observation network station at Tenasillahe Island on a rare, warm and sunny day. The Tenasillahe Island station is located at the upper limit of salt intrusion in the Columbia River estuary and provides critical data for characterizing long-term temporal and spatial gradients and seasonal changes in the upper estuary.
