Underway Cruise Status
- Select a cruise. Multiple vessels use a single cruise name. (The refresh button will appear, replacing the cast profile image.)
- Select a vessel operated during the selected cruise.
- Select the day of the cruise from the drop down list. Only those days for which casts were taken appear on this list.
- Select the cast you wish to inspect. Only the casts from the chosen day are available.
- Optionally change the top and bottom axis variables.
- Click the refresh button. The map and timeseries products will also update to the new context, though they may take a few seconds to respond.
Explanation of images
Cast profile: At left is a cast profile. The y-axis is depth, and the configurable top and bottom axes reflect a measured variable. The axis intervals are not configurable at this time.
Daily Map: The two maps at the upper right show vessel activity for the chosen day. The vessel path map (left) shows the vessel path colored by time of day (red is later, blue is earlier). The pink diamond shows the final vessel location (at midnight). The black dots show cast locations. The cast location map (right) shows the cast locations as blue circles, with the selected cast highlighted in orange. Click these maps for more options.
Daily Timeseries: The timeseries plots show tidal elevations at Astoria, near-surface salinity, and near-surface temperature from the flow-through sensor package on board the vessel (for the Wecoma, these sensors are installed 4 meters below the surface.) Click this product for more configuration options.
Notes- Data may not be immediately available; telemetry is dependent on the vessel's position, as well as a variety of environmental factors. More information is available for the 802.11 SWAP network.
- No quality control or other processing has been applied to these data. Specifically, the cast measurements have not been binned and both downcast and upcast are visible.
- Whenever a parameter is changed, the image will disappear and be replaced with a "Refresh" button. Click the refresh button to update all images.
- Some images may take longer than others to refresh.
