Distinguished Lecture Series

The Distinguished Lecture Series brings leading scientists and researchers from around the country to the center. They presents an hour long lecture, meet with students and researchers, and participate in focus groups.

The series is designed to inform and educate, give direction for future research, and foster collaborative research.

The audience are students and researchers with interests in physics, chemistry, and biology of the coastal margin; electrical engineers, chemists, and physicists who build ocean sensors; and microbiologists and biochemists that study microbial diversity of the coastal margin. If participants are located at other campuses, they can interact with the scientist/research by video conferencing.
