Cruises pages tutorial
A short walk-through of the static cruise results pages

This page displays a calendar of available cruise days. Click on any day to go to the cruise display page for that day.
This page is the main cruise display page for July 17, 2007. It shows simple metadata on the cruise, a map of the cruise path, and a set of links to data and model-data comparisons for flow-through, cast, and ADCP data.
This page displays flow-through salinity and temperature data as timeseries and maps. This page can be reached from the main display page through the link "Flow-through CT" in the "Cruise Data" menu block at the left of the screen.
This page displays cast data as timeseries profiles. Temperature and salinity profiles are at the top. Scroll down to see the turbidity and DO profiles. This page can be reached from the main display page through the link "CT Casts" in the "Cruise Data" menu block at the left of the screen. "Individual CT Casts" at the top of this page links to a page displaying profiles for single casts.
This page displays cast data for a single cast (and a menu of all available casts for this cruise day). Temperature, salinity, turbidity and DO are displayed along with a map showing the cruise path and the full set of casts (in blue), with the location of the current cat highlighted (in orange).
This page shows ADCP data (this page shows May 5, 2007). Profiles of speed, direction, and u and v components are shown. This page can be reached from the main display page through the link "ADCP" in the "Cruise Data" menu block at the left of the screen.
Model data is shown for multiple models. On board the wecoma, model-data comparisons for the devex forecast will be generated locally. Other forecasts will be available though the land-based version of these pages. The dev, exp and ref are useful for comparisons off-shore, while the dev,db16, and da forecasts are best for comparisons inside the estuary.
This page shows model data comparisons for flow-through salinity for the db16 forecast. The model-data comparison is shown as timeseries (with model output shown at surface and approximate instrument depth) and as maps of data, model and difference. Links at the top of the page connect to similar pages for temperature and a combined display of salinity and temperature. This page can be reached from the main display page through the link "Flow-through CT" in the "Model-data comparisons
(forecast db16)" menu block in the second column at the left of the screen.
This page shows model-data comparisons for cast salinity data from multiple casts. The model-data comparison is shown as timeseries profiles of data, model and difference. Links at the top of the page connect to similar pages for temperature and to pages for individual casts. This page can be reached from the main display page through the link "CT Casts" in the "Model-data comparisons
(forecast db16)" menu block in the second column at the left of the screen.
This page shows model-data comparisons for a single cast. If the cast location is within the model boundaries, then the model results are shown in blue. Small isoline images should appear to the right of the profiles, showing the surface salinity and temperature of the model at the time of the cast (not shown in this image, should be fixed before the cruise). The menu of cast times at the bottom of the page allows navigation between casts.
This page (actually for May 5, 2007 showing the reference forecast) shows model-data comparisons for ADCP data. Profiles of model and data and difference (scroll right to see the difference plot) are shown for speed, direction and u and v components. The red line on the model plots shows the extent of the actual ADCP data (which may differ from the model extent due to bottom reflection, ADCP range, or disagreements between model and actual bathymetry).
