Deborah Hinton

Dr. Deborah Hinton is an Intramural Faculty member at the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, Maryland. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina, and her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois. Her research at NIDDK involves mechanisms of transcription initiation and activation. Her group has developed a simple model system based on bacteriophage T4 gene expression.
