Week three, Making media and more cell counts

This past week has been a busy one, I have spent as much time as I possibly can on getting more cell counts done, my goal is to try to get through at least 15 samples a day or preferably more so far I can finish about ten in 2 hours or in three for the slides with higher cell concentrations. I have also been reading over protocols for ROS assay and saxitoxin ELISA, since I will be needing these when I get further into my experiment and I want to get familiar with what I will have to do now instead of waiting and learning it all on the spot. I have also worked on transferring more cell cultures and am also learning to prepare the different kinds of media that they need, this week I worked on making ESAW a media that takes two days to make because there is an overnight phase before it can be finished, filtered and stored. I have worked more on my abstract and am ready to submit it after a few more edits to cut its length down to the required word limit, so hopefully I will have it submitted by Monday night.  Hopefully next week I will be able to meet my goal for cell counting, I will update on that next week, until then.
