An empty office and an unknown fragment

 Coming to CMOP on Monday was different than usual. The building was quiet and the intern office is empty - except for me. It is a bit lonely without the other interns who I have gotten to know and like the past couple months. I do have much more room to spread my stuff out in the office though:

As for the Katablepharis project, I seem to have come across something very interesting. In the 28S sequences we have been receiving, there is a 332 base pair fragment that is different than the Katablepharis japonica 28S sequence in the NCBI database. Could this fragment be a variation of the Katablepharis in the Coumbia River estuary? I'm not sure yet, but Pete, Dr. Zuber, and I are working on it.
