week 7 *last day*

today is friday august 21, the last day of the week. yesterday was the day of the symposium and me and maria presented together. we had a very good power point presentation that very many people said that they enjoyed. our poster was good too. we worked very hard to complete these presentations and i am very pleased with how it all turned out. the symposium was great. we sat in on monica's power point also, she was inspirational. im glad i got to experience this great oppertunity.

week 7 *getting ready*

this is my 7th week at CMOP and me and maria are getting ready for the symposium which is tomorrow. we completed our power point yesterday and presented it to Karen and Charles and Monica, we made a few corrections and now its finished. today we are going to present it again and finish our posters. then we are going to figure out what we are going to say and get everything in check for tomorrow. i cant believe the symposium is actually tomorrow. dang time flys! im not nervous about it though. im ready to get it over with.

today is Tuesday the 11th, and its time to start really crackin down! the symposium is coming up its really close now!! me and maria gotta start getting our stuff in check and finish our projects!! we sent out our thank you letters yesterday....hope Antonio and Monica like them. but now that that is out of the way we gotta finish the symposium!! i cant believe its week 7 already?? really week 7? wow time really flies!! hahaha

week 5 *middle of the week*

today is wednesday the 29th and i am now half way done with my 8 weeks.i cant believe how time flys. ive been coming all alone for the past few days but now my partner in crime is back! = ) its nice to come here everyday with the AC in this hot weather and to see everyone.the week pushes on.....

week 4 *last day*

today is friday the last day of week four. this happens to be the only day i was here this week and its pretty laid back today. there were some visitors here today who came to learn about cmop, i sat in on the presentation and on the pizza lunch lol. also monica and matt gave me two presentations that they put together. it was pretty impressing.

week 3 *getting back on track*

i havent been back to the computer lab in a while. its time to get back to work and get my game face on to do some good work ethic. everyone is here today its nice to see everyone again. the osu conference was very fun and interesting i enjoyed the experience. especially the science of baking work shop. that one was my favorite,  not only were we hands on but we got to eat!!! i met a lot of new people and made some friends. but other than that its nice to be back on this side of town again and to start working with our new mentor nate. he is very nice and smart and patient with me.

last day of week 2

this week has gone by pretty fast!! im surprised on how fast it was. it was a week full of work, hahaha. ya i finished my paper on hypoxia, well not really finished but i turned it in. it was hard to find the second part on if the oregon and washington coast  is experiencing hypoxia. im not veery good/fond of research, but im getting used ot it i guess. yesterday antonio introduced us to our group project. i will be working with matt on creating a visual on cdom and temperature in the plume and estuary. its gonna be a challenge!!

week 2 *gettin there*

well its the middle of my second week and im still getting used to things. i kind of understand what were doing as interns and what my job is. I'm getting along well with the other interns, they are really nice. = ) i see how CMOP is a very organized and put together place but they are also very kind and compassionate. i think the only complication I've had is getting here because something always goes wrong with the bus or the max. but that's whatever. im currently working on a paper on hypoxia and the Oregon and Washington coast. what is hypoxia, and is the coast at jeopardy??

week 1 *still learning*

This is my first week as an intern at CMOP and man im still trying to get the hang of this. I'm not used to this much learning but im gonna keep trying to get this right. i enjoyed writing the paper on what CMOP means to me because it gave me a chance to express how i feel and how i think. I'm excited to work with the other interns and to get some more experience on my belt. next week will be good i can tell.
